Since my move to CA about 4 years ago, and down to Topanga Canyon 5 months ago, my fashion choices have been seriously shifting. From the everyday black head-to-toe outfits of my art school + graduate degree days at Rhode Island School of Design into threads of a much lighter vibration. I am now drawn to looser silhouettes, desert shades, and magical whites. And of course anything vintage. Vintage really makes up about 90% of my closet with additions here and there from conscious labels. Here is my Topanga spring go-to outfit that I'm literally wearing everyday.
D Ô E N :: can't get enough of this LA based brand whose designs are inspired by vintage and their nostalgia for the California of past decades. I adore every single piece they have created. This gauzy embroidered peasant top with nods to the 70's is my dream blouse. And in the incredibly vital trend of women supporting women, their commitment to support women in the workforce within all aspects of their organization, supply chain, and community, is inspiring.
VINTAGE SISAL BAG :: the sweetest 1970's Woven Sisal Crossbody bag. Leather embossed detail and loop closure. A timeless piece that is the perfect rare small size for daily excursions.
RMS BEAUTY MASTER MIXER :: the subtle highlighter with the most gorgeous rose gold hue to give you that iridescent "lit from within" look.
TOM'S OPEN TOED ALPARGATAS :: the MOST comfortable pair of shoes that I own. Wish they made more colors, but I am so in love with the cognac suede. They go with literally everything in my closet from the vintage flare Levis shown here to all my embroidered mexican dresses and vintage lace items.
VINTAGE FLARE LEVIS from FAIR SEASON :: what a find. I can't usually shop for jeans online, and frankly can't usually bear to even try them on in person, but I took a chance on these as I loved the perfect flare and stitching details. They fit perfectly. And this online shop is so beautifully curated with clean, wearable, essential vintage pieces.
