SOLAR INFUSED IMMUNITY HONEY
Honey is such an beautiful, deeply healing gift from our beloved bees. In keeping with the immune boosting + nourishing theme on the STUDIO, I love to have a few honey infusions on hand over the winter season.

HONEY | bees swallow, digest and regurgitate nectar from flowers to make honey | it has powerful anti-bacterial + anti-fungal + antibiotic properties | high in antioxidants, and loaded with vitamins, minerals, and enzymes | can provide an energy boost prior to workouts | can be used as a relaxant and to improve sleep | used topically to treat wounds and to deeply hydrate the skin (Manuka honey masks are the best!) | honey also possesses carcinogen-preventing and anti-tumor properties | especially helpful for sore throats due to it's anti-microbial properties for killing off infection.
HONEY INFUSIONS | so if you combine all the powerful properties above with a few more of my favorite immune boosters, you've got a pretty heavy duty arsenal. I created 3 versions here, but the possibilities are endless. Also, feel free to play with measurements as these are suggestions.
TUMERIC GINGER HONEY | Combine 2 C Raw Local Honey with 5 T of Turmeric juice + 3 T minced Ginger in a glass jar. Let sit in the sun for about a week, turning over the jar every day.
GARLIC GINGER HONEY | Combine 2 C Raw Local Honey with 4 T minced Garlic + 4 T minced Ginger in a glass jar. Let sit in the sun for about a week, turning over the jar every day.
GYNOSTEMMA ROSE PETAL HONEY | Pour 2 C of Raw Local Honey in a glass jar and warm very gently in a pan of hot water, while steeping 3 Gynostemma tea bags in it. Let this sit overnight and cool. Remove tea bags and add 3-4 T of Rose Petals. Let sit in the sun for about a week, turning over the jar every day.
