In my herbalism studies, we have been talking non-stop about the super powers of Turmeric.  Turmeric, Turmeric, Turmeric.  We have been using it in absolutely everything from mylks, to soups + stews, with simple veggie + rice dishes, in ice creams, and even in homemade face masks to soothe inflamed skin.  I use this healing herb in powder form, juice form, or capsules daily to keep my joint pain at bay.  I'm realizing how enamored I am with this latte, as I seem to have one every single day.  And with the addition of my favorite medicinal mushrooms, it's also a wondrous concoction for boosting + supporting the immune system.  This particular recipe vears a bit from the traditional Ayurvedic recipes that use cow's milk.  Cow's milk doesn't agree with me well, so I've substituted one of my favorite healing teas :: Gynostemma, along with Coconut Mylk to lend a creamier texture.

INGREDIENTS :: makes 2 servings

  • 12 oz hot Gynostemma Tea
  • 12 oz warmed Coconut Mylk
  • 1 T Turmeric
  • 1 tsp Ghee
  • 1 tsp Coconut Oil

  • 1/4 tsp All Spice
  • 1/8 tsp Cardamom
  • 1/2 tsp Reishi
  • 1/2 tsp Chaga
  • 1 T Raw Local Honey or Stevia to tast

Blend all ingredients, adjust any flavors as needed, dust some Cinnamon on top if desired, sip in a quiet space.
